Risk Assessment

The main responsibility for ensuring the health and safety of workers and for reducing risks to others affected by work activities (including members of the public) rests on employers (sections 2 and 3 of the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974).

Risk Assessment is extremely important as it forms the foundation of any Health & Safety Management System. It is an examination of your business to identify what could cause damage, harm or ill health.

If you don’t know what can hurt you, how can you protect yourself from it?

We will;

  • Inspect your Premises ( or place of work )
  • Inspect Equipment and Working Practices
  • Identify significant Hazards and Evaluate Risk
  • Document the findingsProvide a Priority Action List to remove these Hazards or, if they cannot be removed, measures needed to reduce the level of Risk
  • In conjunction with you, Review and Revise as required

We have ‘hands-on’ experience, across a diverse range of business sectors, doing just this.

You also need to prepare, and make sure your workers know about, a written Health & Safety Policy Statement and the arrangements in place to put it into effect.

If you do not already have one, we will draft a meaningful Health & Safety Policy Statement that documents how health & safety issues are managed within your business.
