Appointed Person Legislative Underpining Service
The main responsibility for ensuring the health and safety of workers and for reducing risks to others affected by work activities (including members of the public) rests on employers (sections 2 and 3 of the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974). You need to prepare, and make sure your workers know about, a written health and safety policy statement and the arrangements in place to put it into effect.
Although you cannot abdicate your responsibilities, you can delegate them.
A PLUS is only available under a Fixed Term Contract*.
We will:
- Review your health & safety documentation and Management Systems
- Prepare a Gap Analysis Report
- Conduct all identified assessments with Priority List of Actions to reduce risk
- Prepare all documentation required to comply with current legislation
- Assume the role of Competent Person ( Safety Officer ) and take responsibility for the accompanying duties and obligations set out under law
- Review performance monthly or sooner in the event of an incident
- Provide a Helpline to give advice, guidance and information
Items 3 & 4 above may be subject to an additional fee
You will co-operate fully by:
- Sharing all information relating to health & safety, either directly or indirectly, in a timely manner
- Informing us immediately of any Accident, Incident or Near Miss and any cases of Disease or work related ill health
- Providing adequate resources
Cost
Our Fees are flexible, being determined by the nature of your business and the number of employees, and start from as little as £ 150 per month + VAT.
*The term of the contract is normally fixed between 12 - 36 months.
